Review - The Wandering Land by Jamie Killen

Okay,  this review is long overdue. I'll be honest, I was kind of lost the first three chapters. I'm not sure if it was the writing style,  the reader I was using or the file it self. When I started reading this, there were people everywhere in this book. I was not sure what was going on, who they were and where they were. Was this Spain,  America, Britain or someone's creepy basement?

But the commotion ended to reveal a one of a kind story. I've got to say, imagination is a cool thing. The author's imagination took me back to a time when fantasy was simple. It was not about cars turning into robots, but looking out your window to see little people adventuring in your last night's leftovers.

The story surrounds many characters, thus my confusion. They are from different places, gender and ethnicity, but they all have one thing in common; art.
Art chose them.
They all separately discovered a land that only they can enter. They notice how their art changes the land. They are tested time and time again till they are ready or their next adventure, the reason they were chosen; to save the queen.

Wet and dark. This is a fantasy that creeps up on you.
