Review - Dog Of The Coven by Laurel Black

I knew it.
I always said that this would happen.
I knew within my heart that taking on the task of reading books without a recommendation from my trusted sources would end like this.

Dear author,

It 2 Am as I read the last words of the work you sent long ago and I just wondered, couldn't you have given me a warning? I don't know, like... PS, don't read at 2 Am in the morning? You needed not resort to chilling my bones.

I wanted to calm down before putting up this review, but I did not.

Maybe because I prefer to leave reviews when the story is hot in my head or I felt as though misfortune would befall me if I don't do it now (I would very much like to point out that there a constant breath waving around the hair behind my neck.)

So our protagonist is a high school freak...I mean girl with bad dreams that plague her daily life. Odd things happen in her town. Mysterious deaths blow across from house to house and she has a feeling it's her fault.
The urge to stick it out and bear the reckoning, as strong a guilt as her fear and need to run away.

This book will take you down a creepy road in the dark of night, letting the air breathe up the hair behind your neck like an un-tuned violin string plucking an eerie note.
